Rates

On July 1, 2016 there was a 4% water and sewer rate increase to fund infrastructure improvements, unfunded regulatory mandates and keep up with rising operations and maintenance costs. Even with the increase, Springfield has some of the lowest rates in Massachusetts and the region. See the table below for a comparison of rates from other communities.
