Watershed Monitoring

Commission staff maintain over 40 miles of property boundaries in the watershed. Property lines are blazed with blue paint and marked with signage to denote allowed and prohibited activities. Staff routinely check boundaries to refresh signage.

A boundary sign is nailed to a tree.

Commission staff also routinely monitor all Commission property in the watershed, checking for erosion, invasive species, and documenting conditions on the ground. Staff also check for illegal activities such as ATV activity, dumping, and vandalism on Commission property.
