The New West Parish Water Treatment Plant

The Commission is constructing a new West Parish Water Treatment Plant to replace aging infrastructure, improve resiliency, and resolve ongoing water quality issues caused by climate change. As stewards of the region’s drinking water system the Commission initiated this generational reinvestment to ensure system reliability for decades to come.

The project breaks ground on October 16 and is expected to be complete in 2028. More information about the project is available on our website: https://waterandsewer.org/new-water-plant/
